Betul and Eamonn married at Scrub Hill on 10 January 2026. The venue sits on the Ballarat-Daylesford Road in Newlyn, a short drive from Daylesford.
High summer. The paddocks had gone gold and the light stayed hard until late in the day. There is a bluestone chapel on the property, old trees on the lawn, and open country on every side.
I photographed the day on digital and 35mm film, and we filmed it as well. Their full story and wedding film are in the journal.
The dress hung in the window. Shoes and a card on a green velvet chair. Eamonn in a cream jacket, bow tie last. Then the veil.
A pale blue car up the drive. Her dad walked her in. Bridesmaids in black, white hydrangeas, the bluestone walls behind them.

Late in the afternoon we walked out into the paddocks. Dry grass, a low sun, the hills flat and blue behind them.
The dance floor was laid straight onto the grass. A popcorn cart, the bridal party crowding in, and a dip to finish.
